Google Trends Explore
Compare interest in topics or exact terms across countries, regions and periods. Useful for seasonal patterns, related topics and rising searches.
Useful website, search and affiliate-marketing tools. Start with what people actually ask, understand which pages get found, improve the answers, then consider genuinely relevant affiliate links. No course pitch and no advertising budget required.

These are the starting points. Search demand is an editorial clue, not evidence that a product is good, a local event exists or every popular term deserves an article.
Compare interest in topics or exact terms across countries, regions and periods. Useful for seasonal patterns, related topics and rising searches.
See recent breakout topics for a selected country. Useful for topical discovery or deciding which developing story requires a proper source check.
Explore search volumes, question phrases, related keyword ideas and trends. Filter by country, language, device and recent period.
See which Google queries expose your verified website, which pages appear, impressions, clicks, average position and indexing problems.
Review keywords and pages that appear in Bing search. Use it alongside Search Console to understand a different search engine, not to add incompatible totals together.
See the pages cited in supported Microsoft Copilot and Bing AI answers and associated grouped grounding phrases. Helpful for AEO/GEO observations.
Suggests keywords and estimated monthly Google searches. Not needed for our free-first workflow when Trends, Search Console and Bing already answer the research question.
Related terms, historical search volumes and estimated ad costs across supported Microsoft Advertising markets.
Improve whether a search engine can reach, understand and safely display a genuinely useful page.
Test mobile and desktop speed, user-experience signals and actionable performance diagnostics. Some URLs lack sufficient real-world field data; separate lab estimates from observed field data.
Check supported structured data and eligibility for special search appearances. Passing is not a promise that Google will actually show a rich result.
Run an on-demand crawl of an authorised website for common technical SEO problems, then inspect individual findings rather than automatically applying a generic fix.
Primary guidance on crawlability, canonical URLs, page titles, helpful content, internal links, supported structured data and search appearance.
Our evidence-first audit examines HTTPS, redirects, robots, sitemap, crawlability, accessible answers, provenance and optional keyword research. It produces a separate results receipt when run by a capable AI.
Inspect accessibility errors, potential contrast issues, headings and structure. The free online checker handles public pages; browser extensions can evaluate local and dynamic content without submitting it to WAVE servers.
Compare text and background colours against WCAG contrast ratios for ordinary/large text and interface elements. Handy when the designer wants pale grey text over pale grey cards.
Validate a pasted HTML snippet, uploaded document or public URL. Useful for finding invalid nesting, duplicate markup errors and other standards mistakes before sharing a new landing page.
Notify supported search engines that your own public URL changed, was added or removed. Requires control of a verification key on the site. Complements, rather than replaces, sensible sitemaps and crawling.
Watch the questions people arrive with, whether they find an answer, and whether an improvement has a measurable effect. Keep visitor privacy ahead of dashboards.
Understand visits, referral sources and useful actions on your own site, subject to consent and configuration. This is different from Search Console search impressions.
Optional heatmaps and session recordings can expose unusable layouts or confusing navigation. Free pricing does not remove your legal and ethical duties around tracking, consent, masking and retention.
Export permitted Search Console/Bing data manually, retain the source and date range, and compare like-for-like metrics. No analytics installation or account handover is needed for an offline Aletheia review.
Build clear dashboards from authorised exports and connected data. This is the no-cost reporting tool formerly named Looker Studio, renamed Data Studio in April 2026.
Choose a phrase, language, region and frequency to receive emails when matching new search results appear. Useful for mentions of your website or a changing topic, but not a complete monitoring archive or a count of every search.
Affiliate marketplaces are ways to locate potential merchant offers, not product safety certificates. Always confirm programme acceptance, retailer identity, current product availability, landing-page claims and actual approved tracking URLs.
Multi-merchant affiliate network covering numerous categories. Check whether the specific merchant accepts the publisher and which link formats/disclosures it permits. Our existing site rules use one MasterTag; that alone does not guarantee advertiser approval or commission.
Useful for original book-based articles, gardening, history and learning recommendations. UK affiliate programme supports independent bookshops; use the owner's approved link, not an invented affiliate parameter.
Marketplace for digital and other offers. Check actual merchant, product evidence, renewals, refunds, advertising claims and audience suitability. A high commission is not an independent quality measure.
Also research Tradedoubler, TradeTracker and Partnerize where appropriate. βTrust Partnerβ is an unconfirmed recalled name, not an identified provider, so it has not been attributed to one of these companies.
Awin lists a Rarewaves merchant programme, including DVDs, Blu-rays, music and books. It is a plausible film-gift option for a relevant article, but the owner must check whether Aletheia's publisher account is approved before using any tracked product link.
Awin also lists a World of Books UK publisher programme. Consider it when a real second-hand edition is relevant, rather than presenting a general store search as an exact ISBN-specific product.
The useful part of the public Revenue Tactics syllabus is its planning sequence, not the courses or high-pressure sales material: understand an audience, create useful original pages, check reachability, measure and improve.
Research the exact task and location. Do not pick a subject only because it has a big commission.
Verify dates, products, policies, live links and claims. Keep what the seller says separate from independently tested facts.
Provide clear headings, steps, limitations, practical alternatives, mobile readability and related questions.
Offer a genuine, optional complement; include free alternatives and a visible affiliate disclosure.
Look at renewal charges, refunds, stock, UK availability, exaggerated income/health claims, merchant identity and approval.
Use comparable time periods and metrics. Correct errors, remove dead links and stop recommending offers that no longer fit.
A direct answer at the top, a meaningful title, readable original explanation, small related FAQs where genuinely helpful, credible sources, descriptive internal links, accessible media, working canonicals/sitemap entries, review date, clear next step and unambiguous commercial disclosure. Useful even if nobody buys anything.
Record idea β real reader question β research receipt β draft β verification β duplicate/rights check β human approval β manual or authorised publication β live URL receipt β measured review. Include a legitimate NO POST outcome. A popular keyword is not a reason to invent content or publish repetitive AI filler.
Identify seller claims and affiliate incentives, verify independently where possible, distinguish advertising from evidence, inspect checkout/subscription/refund terms, and avoid turning one anecdote or review score into a business verdict. Affiliate reviews are not automatically independent reviews.
The UK Advertising Standards Authority expects affiliate advertising to be identifiable. Put a clear, prominent disclosure close to relevant recommendations. Review current ASA/CAP guidance β. Treat tracking pixels, analytics, cookies and session recordings according to current ICO storage-and-access guidance β; free pricing does not imply consent.
AdPlexity, Anstrex, Voluum, Convertri, ActiveCampaign and paid-ad networks such as Taboola, MGID or Revcontent are optional commercial categories, not dependencies for this guide. Our free-first path uses official Google/Bing tools, static HTML and permitted manual exports. Nothing here initiates a subscription or paid campaign.
A site audit can include a separate Search Intelligence appendix. Run the public checks where the chosen AI actually has access; otherwise request the website owner's voluntary export or mark unavailable. The tools above are entry points, not automatic account integrations.
| Report row | Evidence to include |
|---|---|
| Reachability first | HTTPS, redirects, robots/sitemap, exact tested URLs and timestamp. |
| Keyword opportunities | Google Trends comparison (relative, location, period); Bing question/volume evidence where accessible. |
| Our current discovery | Only verified-owner Search Console/Bing reports or user-provided CSV, with labels for clicks/impressions and selected dates. |
| AI visibility | Bing aggregated citation/page/grounding groups, only if authorised/available, not exact user prompts. |
| Priority questions | Real gaps between audience questions and existing useful content; source receipt for each recommendation. |
| Affiliate suitability | Offer relevance, disclosure, verified claim/terms, accessible alternatives and any unconfirmed programme approval. |
| Action/receipt | OBSERVED / SOURCE / INFERENCE / UNVERIFIED / NOT AVAILABLE; smallest proposed change; re-test plan, not claimed outcome. |
READ Β· LEARN Β· GIVE SOMETHING INTERESTING
A proper book-and-gift shelf for people who love searching, building websites, following evidence and giving unexpectedly useful presents. Free knowledge first; optional books and quirky things afterwards.
Original authors, official provider guides and legitimate free books. A good reader shouldn't need to pay just to discover the basics.
Google Search Central Β· free official guide
Crawlability, clear page titles, content that helps people, internal links and a realistic view of search. Read this before paying for an SEO course.
Microsoft Β· free documentation
Learn what the Bing keyword tool measures and how to find useful question phrases. Follow it into a verified Webmaster account when appropriate.
Laura Kalbag Β· freely readable online
An excellent subject match for making sites easier to use. The author-supported website now hosts the book openly. A physical edition is optional.
William Shotts Β· free internet edition
A substantial beginner-to-intermediate guide to using the shell and understanding everyday Linux commands. A paper book also exists, but start with the author's permitted free release.
Microsoft Learn Β· free learning resource
Practical fundamentals about inclusive digital experiences and accessible information. Complements Search Console, Clarity and our own mobile-first GUI checks.
Google/web.dev Β· free documentation
Improve loading, responsiveness and visual stability instead of chasing a decorative speed score. Test actual URLs and distinguish lab results from field data.
Research-led suggestions with known authors and publisher/author references. No fabricated personal affiliate tracking codes, guessed price or copy of third-party jacket artwork.
Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer & Jessie Stricchiola
A substantial technical and strategic reference for search, intent, keyword work, site structure and measurement. Better as a desk reference than a quick checklist.
Eli Schwartz
How to link organic discovery with a genuinely useful product and customer need. Its approach is more relevant to Aletheia than publishing hundreds of thin keyword pages.
Ann Handley
A guide to creating clear, readable original content with a recognisable voice. Useful when Publisher turns research receipts into articles or LinkedIn posts.
Steve Krug Β· 3rd edition
An accessible grounding in intuitive navigation, usable interfaces and testing. A useful antidote when someone wants to add sixteen new buttons to a four-button page.
Rebekah Baggs & Chris Corak
A human-centred look at search and good web design. The useful idea: make the page work for the person behind the query, not a robot-only keyword target.
William Shotts
An optional handsome physical counterpart to the free online edition. Especially suitable next to a Tux penguin on a technically inclined person's desk.
Alice Hoffman Β· the Owens family
A fictional change of pace: sisters, family ties and witchcraft. This is the Owens story, not the three Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus.
Shannon Carlin Β· Hocus Pocus oral history
For readers interested in how a 1993 film became a repeat Halloween favourite, this is a behind-the-scenes book about the production and its changing audience.
Linux penguins, search detectives, desk trinkets, free homemade bundles and winter ideas. A suggestion without a supplier is deliberately labelled as an idea, not disguised as an in-stock product.
Plush toy, desk figure or homemade felt penguin
A small Linux mascot for the desktop. Search for a genuinely licensed or clearly described independent item, check seller/location and do not mistake any penguin plush for Tux. A felt DIY version costs very little.
Pocket loupe or classic brass desk magnifier
An actual tool for inspecting print, maps or tiny electronics. Appropriate for our search-themed page, with a pleasing detective flavour. Compare magnification, working distance and optical quality.
Official Sherlock Holmes Museum gift shop
A small keyring with detective-themed charms including a magnifying glass, deerstalker and violin. A concrete search-themed present rather than a generic mystery-box listing.
The listener who never interrupts
Explain an elusive software bug to a duck or friendly desk mascot, one step at a time. Choose a local, ordinary toy or make a small paper duck. No special subscription required.
Cable labels, keycap puller, soft brush, notebook
A compact desk kit for someone who actually manages websites and computers. Label a problem, find the culprit, fix it, then write down how.
Blank journal, sticky flags and ruler
Build a paper research trail for interesting local places, search questions or family history. Add the name, source, date checked and the next thing to investigate.
An original mini notebook
A homemade pocket booklet of useful search operators and source-check prompts. Decorate it with stars, a tiny magnifying glass and one important charm: 'check the date'.
Sherlock-themed cup or ordinary mug
A cheerful companion for someone who has been staring at indexing reports. This official museum mug uses Holmes iconography including a magnifying glass.
Novelty socks, handwritten clue trail and tiny notebook
Make a low-cost Christmas gift bundle that encourages curiosity: a few clues, a sketch map, a warm drink and a puzzle to solve. No forced Christmas shopping season on the main research tools.
Hocus Pocus is the Sanderson-sisters film. Practical Magic is Alice Hoffman's Owens-family world. Two quite different types of magic, both welcome at the bookshop.
The Sanderson sisters: Winifred, Sarah and Mary
The 1993 film with a newcomer to Salem who inadvertently brings three witches back. This is the one you remembered.
Elena Craig & S. T. Bende
Film-inspired food, suitable as a seasonal cooking/book gift. Check the book's content and suitability, then look for an appropriate edition or local bookshop copy.
Eric Geron
A playful fictional companion for someone interested in the films. Not real occult instruction, and not a replacement for actual historical sources.
Alice Hoffman
A different set of witches: the Owens family. Explore the author's reading-order note to distinguish Practical Magic, The Rules of Magic, Magic Lessons and The Book of Magic.
Original Aletheia page
Free craft ideas, British traditions and modest gift suggestions, plus the turnip-lantern and soul-cake history. This is the destination of the seasonal witch sprite.
Something relevant to the article, a named real title or specific genuine item, useful description, source/date, current terms and a voluntary visit to the retailer. Free and DIY alternatives stay prominent. This is editorial curation, not an endorsement based on a commission percentage.
The specific links on this shelf are currently ordinary, untracked publisher/author/merchant references or a correctly labelled general Bookshop browse link. An Awin site-wide script does not prove approval from any individual retailer. Read the Swindon UK affiliate disclosure β. Research checked 29 September 2026; recheck delivery, prices, film listings and product availability before purchase.
A few stars that lead you home.
Curated navigation links, not paid adverts.
